About me
This page is intended to give you an insight into my extraordinary life.
I was born in Munich in the mid-1960s. I grew up with my parents in modest circumstances. When I was 10, my parents divorced. This time was not easy for me, and I withdrew more and more into my own world. I did a lot of crafts and started writing stories. Even back then, I had a great imagination and was very creative...
After my "bumpy" school career (which I graduated with), I completed vocational training, which I successfully completed in 1988. I quickly realized that a "standard" life was out of the question for me. My ambitions were self-employment, and I detested the "conservative philistinism" in Germany. I dreamed of America! More about my opinions.
At the age of 22, I traveled to America for the first time. In 1990, I met screenwriter Alvin Sargent, with whom we developed a deep, long-lasting friendship and later collaboration. Social commitment was and remains an important part of my life.
